Violent Attacks with Explosive Perfumes in Papantla

In the state of Veracruz, specifically in the municipality of Papantla de Olarte, at least two events have been reported in less than a week related to the delivery of explosive perfumes to unknown individuals. These incidents have left two people injured in their hands after the explosion of the suspicious gifts.

So far, local authorities are unaware of the reasons behind these attacks, and the municipal police of Papantla have issued a warning to the population to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects. The modus operandi of these attacks involves a person, presumably a woman, delivering a "gift" that she claims to be a perfume. Upon opening it, it explodes due to being a homemade bomb.

The authorities of Veracruz are conducting an investigation to identify those responsible for these violent acts with the intention of harming victims through explosive perfumes. Papantla, known as "the city that perfumes the world" for its production of vanilla, is now in the spotlight due to these disturbing events.

It is important for the population not to accept objects from strangers and to remain alert to possible risk situations. These recent incidents highlight the need to be cautious and not fall into traps that could endanger people's lives.
